Almost every week Facebook releases new updates and features for its users. The last few weeks have been no different. In this post you will find the main news on the social network and stay up to date with what may be announced soon. Let's go?

“Find Wi-Fi” was made available to users around the world for iPhone and Android. The tool is not only useful for people who are traveling, but also in areas where mobile data infrastructure is poor.

“Find Wi-Fi” helps you find available Wi-Fi networks near you that have been shared by businesses with Facebook through their Pages. So wherever you are, you can easily find Phone Number List  the closest connections when your data network is low.

To locate Wi-Fi hotspots, click the “More” tab in the app and then “Find Wi-Fi Networks”. Once you are in the “Find Wi-Fi Networks” section, you will need to enable it. You can then browse a map with the closest Wi-Fi points available, as well as learn more about the establishments with them. Find out more information here.

Going forward, non-media pages will not be able to override link metadata (eg title, description, image) in the page's API or publisher. This will help eliminate a channel that was being used to publish fake news. Impacted pages can still schedule and preview how their link attachments will display on Facebook using Open Graph Markup and our Share Debugger.

A solution was also launched to support media outlets that rely on link preview metadata replacement to personalize the way their content appears to their audiences on Facebook. We also introduced a new area in the Page Publishing Tools so that publishers can indicate their links and continue editing the way they appear on Facebook. Find out more information here.

Since July, Facebook has begun making a tool available to media outlets using Instant Articles to measure how their articles are performing on Facebook compared to their mobile web counterparts. The company had already shared this metric with media outlets on Instant Articles and, in recent months, a way was developed for outlets to view this comparison directly.
