Have you heard the breaking news this week? Im pretty sure you have as it has been all over the newspapers and internet. England manager Fabio Capello has resigned. This has come as a result of a meeting that Fabio and the FA had on Wednesday night. There have been many views from the likes of Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer that mainly say that the next manager has to be English.  Jaxson Hayes Jersey Tottenham Hotspur bo s Harry Redknapp is being tipped for the job, but there are other options that the FA can go for.Well, we will start at the man being heavily linked to be thesucce sor of Capello, Harry Redknapp. Harry is most known for managing Portsmouth (twice), Southampton and his current club Tottenham, At his first spell at Portsmouth, Harry won the Division One Title (Championship) putting Portsmouth into the Premiership and kept them in the league for one season (03-04) but after disputes with the Pompey owner Milan Mandaric, Redknapp resigned. Soon after leaving Pompey, Harry became the Southampton gaffer. He was expected to keep the Saints in the Premiership but failed to do so, and in the next season only managed to finish 12th in the Championship. Again after arguments with the clubs chairman, Harry resigned as the Southampton bo s. In December 2005 Harry went onto his second spell in charge of Portsmouth, the club were set for relegation but went on a good run of form and stayed up. In the following season Redknapp managed a top ten finish (9th) Pompeys highest league finish since the 50s. In 2008 Harry lead Portsmouth to their first FA Cuptrophy in 69 years. However when Tottenham sacked manager Juande Ramos, Harry couldnt refuse the temptation. He became Spurs manager, and with Tottenham lying bottom of the league, there was work to be done and thats just what Harry done. Spurs began to get results and in January Redknapp bought a number of players such as Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe. With Spurs climbing the table, Redknapp also managed to get them to the League Cup final but they lost to Manchester United, Spurs just mi sed out on a Europa League spot. In the season of 09-10 Harrys Spurs went onto finish fourth and gained a Champions League spot, this was Tottenhams highest league finish to date and they had a good run to thequarter final in the Champions  Kenrich Williams Jersey league. In the season of 10-11 Tottenham finished high up the table again in 5thplace, and in the current season Tottenham are 3rd and are playing with confidence. So you can see that it is no real surprise that he is being tipped for the job, He has proved that he can win trophys, finish well in the league, and be rather succe sful in Europe. I would most definitely not be surprised if he became the English manager. With Harry being the favourite for the job, many people forgot about this man, Alan Pardew. Alan who is currently doing an amazing job at Newcastle United started off at Reading. In the season of 00-01 Pardew guided Reading to the Division 2 play off final but it ended in defeat. However the following season he redeemed himself by finishing second gaining automatic promotion to the Championship. Alan resigned as the manager of Reading and soon  Brandon Ingram Jersey became the West Ham United bo s. His first season resulted in defeat in the play off final, but he gained promotion the following season (winning the play offs) and then in his first season in the Premiership managed a great 9th place finish. Pardew was sacked in December of 2006 after a bad run of form, but soon became the Charlton Athletic bo s. Charlton were 19th but even after they went on a good run at the end of the season, Alan failed to keep Them up and in the following next two season in the Championship, The Addicks never put in a good enough promotion push, Alan parted company with Charlton in 2008. Alan also had a spell at Southampton, he was most known for bringing in strikers Rickie Lambert and Lee Barnard but after reported arguments with the Saints board, Pardew was dismi sed. Alans big chance came when Newcastle United sacked manager Chris Hughton, Pardew was giving the job. During his first season in charge Alans Magpies were involved in the game of the season, they were against Arsenal and at half time they were behind 4-0 but after a ma sive comeback and a Cheik Toite stunner they managed to get a point and it finished 4-4. In the current season, Pardew made a number of signings. After selling AndyCarroll for 35 million, the club brought in a number of players such as Yohan Cabaye and Demba Ba. Just now Newcastle are highly overachievinglying in 5th place and I am not surprised that he is a contender for the job.Now if England are after an English Will Magnay Jersey  bo s, West Brom Manager Roy Hodgson has to be up there. Roy has managed teams like Inter Milan, Liverpool, and Switzerland. Now Roy is the only contender who has actually been a manager of a national team, Roy joined Switzerland in 1992 and guided them to the 1994 world cup and after getting through the group stage (which included Italy and Portugal) but they got knocked out in the last 16 to Spain. Roys Swi s army easily qualified for Euro 96 but he left them to join Inter Milan. Roy is also well known for being the Fulham manager in 2007-2010, During his time at Fulham, he managed to keep them in the Premiership,  Willy Hernangomez Jersey finish 7th in the league (Fulhams highest ever position) and lead them to the Final of the Europa League (again making Fulham history). However Roy did have difficult times as a manager at Liverpool and Finland. With Roys experience as a manger, again I wouldnt be that surprised if the FA went for him.In my opinion I think Harry will get the job, he is the favourite and is being backed from nearly everyone involved in football. Jose Mourinho is also being linked with the job but I very much doubt that he will be the next England manager.
